"November is underrated and I'll always champion it. Southern Africa is coming to life after the dry season, the baby animals are appearing and the lodge are quieter and better value"

November is a wonderful time to explore South Africa in all its extraordinary diversity. The summer rains are beginning to arrive, bringing a fresh energy to the landscape: the Kruger’s bush turns lush and green, the Garden Route coast is warm and beautiful and the Winelands are alive with the first hints of the coming harvest. Wildlife is abundant, migratory birds arrive in spectacular numbers and the long, warm evenings carry that unmistakeable feeling of a continent coming back to life. Few countries on earth offer as much variety as South Africa, and November is one of the finest months to discover it.

As the southeast trade winds give way to calmer, warmer conditions, November in the Seychelles has a wonderful sense of quiet anticipation about it. The islands are peaceful and unhurried, the seas are warming and the beaches are at their most serene. It is one of the least crowded months of the year, making it ideal for those who value privacy and exclusivity; a chance to experience these stunning islands at their most intimate before the festive season arrives.

To explore the Skeleton Coast on horseback is to experience one of Africa’s most extraordinary landscapes in the most extraordinary way. In November, cool Atlantic mists roll in off the Benguela Current, wrapping this remote and haunting shoreline in an ethereal, end-of-the-world atmosphere that feels unlike anywhere else on the continent. Riding through vast desert landscapes, past shipwrecks and seal colonies and galloping along beaches that stretch to the horizon, is the kind of experience that defies easy description. This is the last month to ride in Namibia and usually results in a festive celebration as the season comes to an end. We could not recommend this remote and unforgettable experience more highly.
